??CALLING ALL SEN/DISABILITY/DYSTONIA - PROFESSIONALS ?? khamani Edwards is an award winning young entrepreneur who is about to launch is own range of craft boxes designed for children with weak hand or arm strength, poor motor control, tremors and one-handed operation. For example, children with Cerebral Palsy or Congenital Limb Deficiency. If you work with children who his craft boxes would benefit then please reach out as it's an incredible idea and he's an equally incredible young man when you speak with him. I think his story would be great for podcasts, newsletters, blogs and interviews to help inspire us all. Here's some words from Khamani himself... " I’m Khamani Edwards, a young entrepreneur and founder and CEO of KJ’s Craft Time—a venture close to my heart, born out of a desire to blend creativity, education and inclusivity. KML Craft Boxes started during the second lockdown, I wanted to make crafts that are creative and fun, and most importantly educational. My mission is to ensure children are able to think imaginatively and have an immersive experience venturing into space or ancient worlds as examples. I wanted KJ’s Craft Time to help develop fine motor skills, because it’s a skill easily lost as children spend more time on electronic devices and I aim to get them to engage more with the real world around them. I’ve recently expanded our offers to include a range of craft boxes focused on education and a fantasy range designed to ignite the imagination and creativity of children. Last year, I was honoured to receive the TruLittle Entrepreneur Hero U18 Award, recognizing my dedication to making a positive impact in children's lives. Drawing from personal experience, I’m proud to introduce my latest initiative, a Special Educational Needs range. As someone with Dystonia, a physical disability, I understand first-hand the challenges individuals face in pursuing their passions. This range aims to make arts and crafts more accessible by offering aids tailored to meet the diverse needs of every child, including nine different types of specialised scissors for a mix of abilities. They are designed for children with weak hand or arm strength, poor motor control, tremors and one-handed operation. For example, children with Cerebral Palsy or Congenital Limb Deficiency. This range also has ergonomic brushes, grips and non-spill paint pots. Our commitment to inclusivity drives us to continually expand this range, with plans to introduce sensory boxes and other aids in the future."
