Kiwanis in Action! This past Saturday, we had the honor of teaming up with the The Salvation Army Centre City - San Diego to assist with their incredible family BBQ. Together, we served over 600 meals, sharing smiles and support with our community. A huge thank you to the amazing youth volunteers who joined us from Patrick Henry High School Community Service Club (organized by our awesome member Eric Wever!) & our San Diego High School Key Club! And, of course, a shoutout to our dedicated Kiwanis members: Jeremy Alexander, Karen Bower, Karina Sousa, Eric Wever and one of our newest members, Will Early. This event was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and service. ?? Thank you to everyone who made it possible!

Welcome our newest member Will Earley. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota he has been living in San Diego for 5 years. A major part of his experience in high school was with their very active Key Club, and he always knew he wanted to be a part of Kiwanis. He works as a Data Analyst at PATH San Diego, striving to bring an end to homelessness in San Diego. We are excited to have him join us!

For years, we’ve been proud to support their amazing work in building communities of positive male role models. ?? Kicked off the new Kiwanis year in style with a super special guest— San Diego State Athletics Head Basketball Coach Brian Dutcher! His presence and positivity lit up the room, and we had a packed house of alumni and sports fans excited for the upcoming season! ?? And our Foundation awarded another $16,000 in scholarships to support student athletes ?? We also had the honor of awarding Karen and Greg Bower with well-deserved Distinguished Service Awards and officially inducted our newest member, Linda Dao! ?? Great times, great company, and here’s to a fun and impactful year ahead!

Our amazing members spent their morning giving back to the community! ???? They picked up trash, planted trees, and watered at the River Center at Grant Park. Thanks in part to our Foundation's funding of The San Diego River Park Foundation, the new nature education center and eco-park are soon to be a reality.
