Kiva is a non-profit that expands access to capital for entrepreneurs around the world. More than 4.3 million people have raised over $1.7 billion on Kiva. We believe in character over credit and the power of community-based lending. Because of these beliefs, we provide funding opportunities for entrepreneurs where conventional lenders can’t. Kiva provides “loans that change lives”. The Northwest Arkansas Entrepreneurial Community is thriving in many ways, yet many sole proprietors or business owners needing to grow a business, or individuals dreaming of starting one, still face major barriers to accessing capital funding. They are among the vast number of financially excluded individuals in the U.S. who are then unable to launch or grow their ideas. NWA needs the financial and emotional buy-in from local investors to ensure our community stays progressive, and continues to thrive. If you're a small business owner in Northwest Arkansas and your business could benefit from a microloan, then we'd love to hear from you. With Kiva you can raise up to $15,000 at 0% interest and no fees with terms up to 3 years.

Exciting news! The Startup Junkie Foundation, in collaboration with SLS Community, is launching a new initiative to explore neurodiversity in the workforce across Northwest Arkansas. The Startup Junkie Foundation is proud to announce an exciting new initiative in collaboration with SLS Community to explore the state of neurodiversity in the workforce across Northwest Arkansas. Through a series of targeted surveys, this project will gather insights from employers, neurotypical employees, and neurodiverse employees to identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping the neurodiverse workforce in our region. In the coming weeks, the Foundation will be distributing these surveys to community partners, supporters, and the public at large.
