Today we welcomed students from Lenape Tech's?Precision Machining program.? The day started off touring our EDM department and then went to Assembly, Wiring, and Grinding. Next they toured through the Machine Shop, where they got to see our new 5-Axis machine and the Apprenticeship Area - their own designated space to work!??The day ended with lunch from Vocelli's!! One student said, 'This place is like no other machine shop I've been in,' and he couldn't be more right!? We stand?out from the rest! Recently we were able to send 2 of our hardworking apprentice to the NTMA Pittsburgh Chapter competitions. We are excited to have Eli Sherbondy and Travis Bayne represent us at the competition! We will find out later this summer the results of all the competitors are at a beautiful banquet presented by the NTMA. The NTMA Pittsburgh Apprenticeship Program Competition brings together the best and brightest in manufacturing. We're proud to support these apprentices as they hone their skills and build a strong community. This week we had special visitor! Beer Santa and his elves arrived in their beer sleigh and dropped off presents to all of our eligible employees! Kiski Precision has a tradition where we let our eligible employees select a holiday beverage from a list of beer from one of the local distributors, Spaniel Beer. They also have the option to choose a gift card if a beverage isn't their style. This is just one small way we can give back to our employees for all the hard work they put in here at KPI! We would like to give a big thank you and shout out to Spaniel Beer Distributor! It is always great when local businesses support other local business. They are located at 77 Washington Ave in Vandergrift give them a visit for all of your holiday adult beverage needs!
