Over the weekend, we were honored to commemorate Volkstrauertag, Germany’s National Day of Remembrance, at Fort Douglas. This annual event, organized in part by James T. Burton (Kirton McConkie shareholder and Utah’s honorary consul for the Federal Republic of Germany), paid tribute to members of the armed forces of all nations and civilians who died in armed conflicts, to include victims of violent oppression. With music, ceremonial honors, and powerful reflections, the gathering served as a poignant reminder of the importance of remembrance and unity. #Volkstrauertag #WeAreKirtonMcConkie

Last weekend, we had the privilege of hosting the United for Adoption conference at our Salt Lake City office! With over 100 attendees, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn about best practices in adoption during National Adoption Awareness Month. We're grateful to everyone who joined us and to our dedicated adoption attorneys, Larry Jenkins and Lance Rich, for their impactful work helping families grow and thrive.??

The firm's admin team welcomed students from East High School as part of Junior Achievement of Utah's #jobshadow program. It’s always fun to give these future leaders a behind-the-scenes look into law-firm life and introduce them to the many career paths within the legal field. Students enjoyed hands-on sessions with our finance, HR, IT, and marketing teams, and even stepped into a mock trial to get a feel for the courtroom experience. Their enthusiasm and curiosity inspire us, and they have bright futures ahead! #JuniorAchievement

Kirton McConkie recently hosted Richard Xu (president) and Robin Wang (vice president) from Ningbo International Legal Service Center (NILSC) from China. NILSC has more than 8,000 attorney members who represent clients in international transactions and cross-border disputes. Last year, NILSC invited attorneys Joseph Brubaker, Adam Channer, and Qiwei Chen to present international law-related topics to its members in Ningbo, China. During this visit, we appreciated the opportunity to discuss the strategic cooperation of Kirton McConkie and NILSC in further facilitating the foreign-related legal services.
