Shona, our Careers Advisor, offered invaluable advice on next steps – from University options to diverse career pathways within the beauty industry. ? Linzi Brown from Beauty Boutique, an Enhancing Nurse, shared her personal journey, the steps she took to build her expertise, and discussed advanced courses available for learners ready to elevate their skills in advanced aesthetics. This week we officially unveiled our new Operator Skills Hub based in Kirklees. We place huge importance on training new entrants and upskilling across the country, which is why it's so exciting to work in collaboration with Kirklees Council Kirklees College and BAM UK & Ireland to create opportunities in the Huddersfield, and wider regional area. Wherever we operate we want to bring value to the local community, and this new state of the art Operator Skills Hub will support bringing new entrants into the construction sector from a variety of pathways in addition to upskilling workers in the Kirklees area. Flannery will continue to create opportunities and raise industry standards in the built environment and infrastructure sector across the UK. Look out for further exciting collaborations in the future which leverage outcomes through partnerships. The success of this project highlights the value and power of collaboration, Flannery and our Operator Skills Hub initiative will continue to work with the Government, local councils, industry leading businesses and the biggest brands in the sector to lead the way for innovation and growth in the UK construction industry. Celebrating Employer Feedback from ALS Laboratories! We’re proud to share the positive experiences of one of our long-standing science apprenticeship partners, ALS Laboratories. Over the past six years, they’ve welcomed multiple apprentices who have continued to thrive within the business. “The apprentices have found the teaching staff at the college to be knowledgeable and helpful, and they’ve gained skills that have helped them develop in the workplace. Yesterday, Our Automotive Lecturer Mccauley . delivered a session for his Level 2 Diploma Motor Vehicle group on the importance and function of input and output sensors. ?? ? They explored how these sensors integrate into modern vehicle systems and discussed why understanding them is crucial for both safety and performance. Personal development elements were incorporated to help students connect technical knowledge with real-world applications. ? Today was the official launch of the Kirklees Operator Skills Hub, which is now on site at our Engineering Centre in Huddersfield ?? This amazing new facility is part of our partnership with Flannery Plant Hire and Kirklees Council and will open opportunities for adult learners in our region to train as plant machine operatives as part of Skills Bootcamps ?? This is just the beginning, however, and it is hoped that the Hub will offer many more training opportunities in the future ??
