ZGiRLS Co-Founder and Executive Director Jilyne Jarvis joins Max Rombakh on Eastside Elevated to discuss confidence programs empowering young women locally and nationwide. The stats on adolescent girls are alarming: 7 in 10 don’t believe in themselves, and the CDC reports girls face greater mental health challenges and higher rates of violence and suicidal thoughts. The ZGiRLS Confidence Program is an online course with four sessions focused on confidence: Develop a Growth Mindset | Build Self-Worth | Take On Challenges | Advocate for Yourself. Mentorship from professional and Olympic female athletes helps guide participants through challenges and personal struggles. The ZGiRLS website offers resources for parents to support their daughters’ growth beyond the curriculum.
