??? Kintsugi founder & CEO, Grace Chang, got the opportunity to sit down Victor Dey at Observer to discuss how AI may offer a solution to America’s gaping mental health care shortage. Grace highlighted, “In the Bay Area, it takes months just to schedule a first therapist appointment...Since AI can be deployed on a large scale at a lower cost, it has the potential to reach millions of people simultaneously, addressing the demand and supply issues in mental health care.” With over 60% of therapists unable to accept new patients and one in three individuals facing months-long delays in accessing care, the need for innovative solutions is immense. Kintsugi is addressing the challenges of mental health triage and treatment by introducing AI-driven voice biomarker technology to proactively identify mental health conditions in a scientific and scalable way. ??
