When a child enters the foster care system, they need more than just a new home - they need an entire support system to help them heal, grow, and thrive. That's why Kinship House and Youth, Rights & Justice have joined forces to be that network of care for some of our community's most vulnerable young people. At Kinship House, trauma-informed therapists provide the mental health support and emotional tools kids in foster care need to build stable, trusting relationships.? Meanwhile, Youth, Rights & Justice ensures those same children’s rights are respected, and they have a voice in the courtroom. YRJ also advocates for them in school, helps them reach goals and provides holistic support. Together, our two organizations create a safety net that fills a crucial gap in the lives of foster care youth in our community. From the counseling room to the courtroom, we’re building confidence, relationships, and fortitude every single day.
