Scott Landrum 1963 - 2024. I will miss him every single day.
All, please join me in celebrating the life of Scott Landrum. He passed unexpectedly on August 11th. Scott was not only a great man, but he was also my best friend of 36 years. Scott started his railroad career at Thrall Car Manufacturing and worked his way up to BNSF Railway, and then his own business - Transportation Technology Services. Everywhere Scott went, he set new standards for efficiency. Whether he was reducing weight on railcars to allow them to carry more lading, to practically inventing the wind on rail dimensional shipping industry. He took chances on people, and gave them opportunities to excel, leading many of his employees on to successful careers. Scott touched many lives over the years, and you would be hard pressed to find anyone that would utter and ill word about him. He set an example that I try to follow every single day.
