Kings County Farm Bureau is an independent, non-governmental, grassroots organization committed to providing education, promotion and representation of agriculture. Since our founding in 1918, we have advocated on behalf of the farmers, ranchers, and dairymen whose work feeds the world, giving them a united voice and protecting their right to farm. Amidst the ag industry's current challenges of complex regulations, water shortages, and excessive taxation, KCFB exists to ensure the future of the family farm. We fight for policies and legislation at the local, state, and federal levels that support our county's number one industry - agriculture - for future generations. We support policies and legislation that protect our land, water, and resources, as well as the farmers, ranchers, and businesses involved in agriculture. We are committed to supporting local farmers and informing consumers through educational programs, training classes, industry workshops, political activism, and community involvement.

September 12th, KCFB staff was notified that Kings County Superior Court Judge Ciuffini ruled in favor of KCFB, granting us a preliminary injunction against the SWRCB. This means that all Tulare Lake Subbasin Probationary requirements are still paused until the case goes to trial. KCFB was back in court this morning, September 13th, where the Judge also ruled on the four demurrers submitted by the SWRCB. No trial date has been set as of now, but KCFB will be back in court in January 2025 for a second case management conference. This is a massive win for Kings County growers, but the fight is not over. KCFB would like to thank the SGMA Defense Fund donors who helped with this success.
