I recently attended a workshop for nonprofit organizations hosted by the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business. The keynote was Chris Lambert, CEO of Life Remodeled. Chris shared valuable insights on the importance of establishing strong Organizational Operating Systems and staying true to our Core Values. The day was packed with empowering workshops that addressed principles critical to nonprofit success and I am excited to take these principles back to our team to put them into action. We are at it again! This holiday season, Kingdom Presence had the privilege of hosting our 5th Adopt a Family Program, and we are overjoyed by the impact we were able to make! Through this program and with the support of our donors, we assisted 4 families, including 5 adults and 12 children. The children received toys, coats, clothes, and essential items to make their holiday special. Each family also received a $100 Kroger Gift Card to help ensure not just gifts under the tree but food on the table, making their Christmas a little merrier and brighter. A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who shopped for the families and our amazing board members who dedicated their time and energy to make this program a success. Your selflessness and generosity are the true spirit of the season, and we couldn’t have done this without you! We are thrilled to announce that Kingdom Presence was one of 20 nonprofit organizations selected by #ShareDetroit to receive a $1,000 gift in recognition of Giving Tuesday! This $1,000 gift will help fund our Summer Life Skills Program, which equips young people with essential tools for success, including financial education and entrepreneurship training. Kingdom Presence is overjoyed to announce that we were selected as one of the winners in SHARE Detroit's #GivingTuesdayDetroit giveaway! We are incredibly grateful to receive a $1,000 donation, made possible by SHARE Detroit and their amazing sponsors at Vibe Credit Union. This generous contribution will make a tremendous difference for our grassroots organization. Volunteer Spotlight! A huge thank you to Food Rescue US-Detroit for their ongoing support in helping us provide food to our community!
