    We are pleased to announce that Kathy Brugge has been promoted to Senior Plant Manager for Bellingham Operations. Kathy leads the Bellingham, WA, team and oversees the manufacturing operation there. Kathy joined King & Prince Seafood in 1983 as Janitor and has worked in Sanitation, Sales, Shipping, Accounts Payable, Office Administration, and Finance before being promoted to Plant Manager in 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Western Washington University. Please join us in congratulating Kathy on her promotion!

  • We recently celebrated our service awards for the King & Prince Seafood's Brunswick Facility. Each team member who reached the milestone of 5 years all the way to 40 years was recognized for their achievement. Each supervisor gives a heartfelt speech about what that employee means to us in a people-first culture. The highlights this year were Patty Gilreath for 40 years in Finance and Linda Neal being recognized for 35 years of service in QA. A fun and exciting evening! #kpseafood

    Turning Waste into Growth: A Sustainable Collaboration with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful & King & Prince Seafood! At Savannah Hydroponics & Organics, we believe sustainability is about more than just growing food—it’s about finding creative ways to repurpose, reuse, and reduce waste. That’s why we were beyond thrilled to partner with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and King & Prince Seafood in a project that turns what was once destined for the landfill into a tool for sustainable food production. It all started when W. Bud Reader, Safety Manager at King & Prince Seafood, reached out to Lea King-Badyna, Executive Director of Keep Golden Isles Beautiful, about a growing issue: nearly 1,000 pickle buckets piling up with no sustainable disposal option. Instead of sending them to the landfill, Lea—always a champion for environmental solutions—connected them with our team - Andrew and Kelly Morris. Why? Because at Savannah Hydroponics & Organics, we specialize in deep water culture bucket systems, which allow people to grow food sustainably in small spaces using 5-gallon buckets. These donated buckets will soon be transformed into hydroponic growing systems that will be rolled out in various capacities over the next few months, helping people grow food efficiently while keeping plastic out of the waste stream. This collaboration is a win-win-win: ?? King & Prince Seafood and reduces disposal costs and environmental impacts. ?? Keep Golden Isles Beautiful helps facilitate a sustainable solution. ?? Savannah Hydroponics & Organics gains a valuable resource while preventing plastic waste. A huge thank you to Lea and Bud for making this connection happen—we’re excited to keep working with local businesses to find more sustainable solutions for repurposing materials.     Please join us congratulating Christopher Horton for recently being promoted to Corporate Controller at King & Prince Seafood. Chris will be responsible for all aspects of general accounting, financial reporting and auditing, capital spending, fixed assets, and compliance. Chris joined K&P in 2022 as Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, and was promoted to Assistant Controller in 2024. Chris holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and has completed his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification in 2023. Way to go Chris! #peoplefirst
