As we begin a new year, it’s important to pause and reflect on the last 12 months of furthering KinderMourn’s mission. Whether you’ve attended one of our events, engaged with us on social media, received KinderMourn services before, or donated to our cause, it is because of your connection and support we can continue to provide a safe haven where grieving children, teens, and parents find refuge. This year, KinderMourn will serve thousands of families through counseling, support groups, and outreach programs, sustaining the legacy of Lucy and Bill Christopher 47 years later. Did you know that today is National Rubber Ducky Day? Each year, KinderMourn holds our annual Hope Floats Duck Race where 55,000 brave rubber ducks rush through the rapids at the Whitewater Center. These students are part of our Helping the Hurt outreach program, that for 30 years has provided on-site grief support at our local public schools to children impacted by grief and loss.
