This #HispanicHeritageMonth, our Hispanic/Latin American Resource Group Pa'lante helped us celebrate by hosting a Latin American lunch while Evelyn Vasquez led a conversation with Mars and KIND Leaders. We enjoyed learning more about our leaders' #diverse backgrounds and experiences in the #CPG industry while having an open conversation and agreeing that our goal is to be a #workplace where everyone can fully show up as themselves and contribute different perspectives to discussions and decisions. ?? This #HispanicHeritageMonth??, we're proud to share the stories of our KIND Hispanic & Latin American community. We asked leaders of our Pa'lante resource group to share what community means to them. Today, we're introducing Alison A. Gutierrez. Alison is a Manager, Field Quality and has been with KIND for over four years. ??"Helping lead the Pa’lante group has been very rewarding and has helped me, along with all of our members, meet team members across different departments! Together, we learn more about each other and our cultures, discuss current events, dance, play Loteria, and share many kinds of delicious food. Our mission has been to have a safe space? where team members of Hispanic/Latin American backgrounds can socialize and connect through shared experiences, promote cultural diversity and understanding, and spread awareness while welcoming those from other backgrounds to learn with us. Through partnerships with organizations such as?RAICES and the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, we strive to provide educational opportunities for all members and are working to assist our communities through mentorship and volunteering." At KIND, cultivating an #inclusive workplace is an ongoing effort and we're grateful to Pa'lante for reinforcing our #diversityandinclusion goals.
