We would like to congratulate Brian Cole, MD, MBA, FAAOS for recently receiving the 2025 Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) Clinical Research Award for his collaborative effort over the past 25 years to advance osteochondral allograft (OCA) transplantation to treat cartilage and bone defects in the knee. The work by Dr. Cole and his colleagues has yielded advances across the full spectrum of OCA transplantation. ?Included among these advances is the use of high-pressure carbon dioxide cleaning with the CarboJet, to enhance removal of immunogenic marrow elements from the graft while also allowing for improved uptake of biologics such as concentrated bone marrow aspirate. https://lnkd.in/gHKU-kGj
