Holy MOLY! 13 years??? I honestly don't even know where to begin or what to say. These 13 years have definitely been challenging at times, but extremely rewarding as well. I have had the opportunity to work with some really awesome people, help build brands from the ground up, and work side by side with them to watch them thrive. It hasn't always been easy. There are many stresses that come with working for yourself, especially in the fast paced world of social media marketing, branding, and PR. I have watched new platforms launch and come to life. I have struggled learning new techniques and ways to help clients stand out in this very noisy sea of promotional craziness. I have laughed, I have cried, I have pulled countless all nighters, but I've also been fortunate enough to have a business that allowed me to work bedside while my mom was in her final chapter of life and that right there makes every struggle worth it. I've been able to take my work with me to visit friends and family up in St. Louis for extended periods of time...let's not forget working from the French Quarter in NOLA with one of my best friends for a week. That was a fun and crazy time! It hasn't been smooth sailing AT ALL, but gosh dang it, it's all been worth it. I have clients that have become very close friends and that to me will forever be priceless. Two of my biggest fans throughout my KiMedia Strategies journey are sadly no longer here, but I know my mom and Susie are smiling down at me today because they both knew I could and I would...so I did. Thank you to everyone that has in any way supported this dream of mine. Without you none of this would be the way it is today. I also want to give a HUGE thank you to Thomas McHale with Thomas P's Sports Bar & Patio. You are my longest standing client. You took a chance on me when everyone else was saying that social media was just a phase that wouldn't last long. You are a huge reason why I'm able to celebrate 13 years today! Thank you for your friendship, your words of wisdom, and your trust in me to do what's right for your business. ...and then there's Mary at Slice of The Burg. A fellow St. Louisan now living in our own little slice of paradise. Thank you for believing in me, for allowing me to let my creativity flow to help turn your locally owned pizza restaurant into the amazing restaurant it is today. Thank you for your friendship, your kindness, your never ending referrals, and your faith in me to always do what's absolutely best for your business. My final thank you is to Mike, my other half. For the past 3+ years he's taken on the role of Kim's #1 fan. He celebrates my wins, listens to my struggles, and yes....even deals with my crabbiness when I'm super stressed. I love you, babe. Here's to 13 more amazing years....and then I get to retire, right? lol
