Recently our perishables team had the opportunity to tour Kimberton Hills Dairy ?? and Sweetwater Baking Company ??, which are part of the Camphill Village Kimberton Hills community near our flagship store in Kimberton Village. Camphill is a worldwide social initiative that creates communities designed to include people with and without intellectual disabilities, sharing daily life in ways that are intentionally therapeutic and social through biodynamic agriculture, social, cultural, and educational endeavors. Our team got to experience the behind-the-scenes workings of the dairy and the daily operations of the bakery with its wood fired ovens. We’d like to thank Camphill for hosting us and for providing quality products for our customers ??
关于我们
In 1986 Terry and Pat Brett were running a small farm store in Chester County, Pennsylvania, selling organic yogurt made on-site at a biodynamic dairy farm, now known as Seven Stars Farm. During the ensuing 27 years he has grown that store into a group of natural grocery stores that actively reflect his commitment to local farming and his prioritization of organic and fair food. Kimberton Whole Foods is now a multigenerational family business and continues to grow while maintaining a passionate commitment to integrity and sustainability in agriculture. True friends of the farmer, KWF is regularly honored for our ethical business leadership and meaningful contribution to regional sustainable agriculture. Our mission is to serve as a community market with a passionate commitment to integrity, sustainable agriculture, and fair trade. We care for the earth by promoting organic & biodynamic farming methods. We conduct our business in a respectful & ethical manner while building strong cooperative ties within our larger community. We support each individual’s quest to learn more about conscious choices & healthy living. We are committed to honoring each customer with outstanding service.

We're thrilled to share that we've been named one of Progressive Grocer's 2025 Outstanding Independent Markets! This year’s honorees are being praised for being tuned into the needs of their communities and the environment in ways other retailers are not. "Beyond their shoppers and employees, these indies help their wider communities in innumerable ways, supporting nonprofit organizations through fundraising campaigns, sponsoring events, partnering with area suppliers, addressing food insecurity..." "Sustainability is also a core value for many of these grocers, which have adopted such practices as eliminating harmful ingredients from products on shelves, striving to eliminate food waste, championing meat-free diets, and advocating for local food systems and responsible farming practices." We're extremely grateful for this honor as it reflects our mission as a company and offer our congratulations to the other 15 fantastic organizations that were named.
