Awareness is critical as we know preventative screenings are key to understanding overall health. Yet, 3 out of 5 men do not have annual physicals, up to 50% of white men and more than 60% of men of color do not have annual screenings. Why is this? Today marks the last day of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth. While increasingly common, the news about breast cancer isn't all bad. We've talked about the role #earlydetection plays in survivability. At Kiffik, our goal is to see people live long, healthy and happy lives by developing tools that increase early detection rates! We believe that screening should be easy, fast, affordable and accessible for all!

To screen or not to screen. This is an age old debate that continues throughout healthcare, not just with #breastcancer. As new screening technologies become available, with data to back up their efficacy, safety and utility, will the recommendations from groups like the @USPreventativeTaskForce play catchup to clinical practice? Our test, and many others like it, predict risk of developing a specific cancer, often times years before a tumor is present, or a condition has developed. With #AI and #ML improving prediction and personalized diagnostic tools, are we moving towards a time where we remove the age at which we start screening and make it a standard part of adult health care? The KIFFIk Lab rapid biomarker platform combines biomarkers found in interstitial fluid (ISF) and advanced aptamer technology for the early detection cancer. Aptamers have been available for years, but became well known during COVID as the foundation of at-homeCOVID tests. We are excited about the promise of this dynamic combination of technologies and are working hard to bring the KIFFIK Lab to market.
