Did you know that only 3% of #fosteryouth go on to graduate from college? Foster Love's Family Fellowship is attempting to change that through a much more comprehensive approach that goes far beyond tuition support. Students get everything they might need—from move-in dorm support and quarterly care packages to stress management coaching—and also participate in events designed to build community, such as a Winter Retreat where they'll celebrate the holidays together as a family. Applications are now open, so learn more about this incredible opportunity and how to apply at https://ow.ly/LBf250VgFRn.

Lead exposure is incredibly dangerous for kids and can result in learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other health and behavioral effects (https://ow.ly/Lxep50VfLeG). If you're interested in getting your child's lead levels tested this month, here are some upcoming clinics in Milwaukee!

Every child deserves to feel loved and cared for at bedtime, and getting a good night's sleep is essential for children's health, social and emotional well-being, and school performance. But kids in #fostercare are often unable to get the sleep they need, whether it's from not having bedtime routines or not feeling comfortable and secure at night. The Pajama Program aims to change that. ?? We've partnered with them for years to provide comfy bedtimes and ensure better sleep for #fosteryouth. Show some love for their support ??, then learn more about what they do at https://ow.ly/KKG250VirHw. #SleepAwarenessWeek #WorldSleepDay

We are excited to share that One Simple Wish created an Education Wish Fund dedicated to providing tuition fees, certification classes, and specialized educational equipment to current or former foster youth. If you need support with your education (or know someone else who does), email [email protected] so we can talk about submitting a wish on your behalf!

On #InternationalWomensDay, we honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of women around the world. But today is also a reminder of the challenges many young girls — especially those in #fostercare — face every day. Through mentorship and guidance, access to education and career opportunities, and policies that protect and empower women, girls can break cycles of adversity and build lives filled with opportunity and hope. ?? And to all the women who are making a difference in the lives of foster and kinship youth—family members, foster moms, CASA volunteers, teachers, social workers, and more—we see you, and we appreciate you. Let’s continue working toward a future where every girl, no matter her background, has the chance to thrive.

??? It's National Dentist’s Day! ??? Did you know that children in #fostercare are more likely to experience dental health challenges due to a lack of consistent care? A healthy smile is essential for confidence, long-term health, and overall well-being, so thank you to the awesome dentists and dental professionals who provide care to children in need. Your work changes lives—one smile at a time! ?? Want to help children maintain bright, healthy smiles? ?? Encourage regular check-ups ?? Support programs that provide dental care for foster and kinship youth ?? Donate dental hygiene kits (toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss) #DentistsDay #ThankADentist #OralHealthMatters
