??Here’s a Safety Tip I bet you didn’t know about… Imagine reversing without knowing what’s behind you… That was the reality for millions of drivers. Until now. ?? Since 2018, every new vehicle in the U.S. is required to have a backup camera—a law made possible thanks to the tireless advocacy of Kids and Car Safety. ?? Why? ?? Consumer Reports Uncovers Safety Concerns in Two Infant Car Seats ?? As safety advocates, we know that meeting federal safety standards should be the floor, not the ceiling for infant car seats. Unfortunately, recent crash tests by Consumer Reports found that the Diono LiteClik30 XT and Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 Urban Mobility infant car seats had alarming structural failures—one detached from its base, and the other suffered severe cracking. For parents, caregivers, and safety professionals: this is a call to action. ? If you own one of these seats, check installation and consider a safer alternative. ? We urge manufacturers to be transparent and address these safety gaps. ? Stronger safety regulations and independent testing are essential for protecting children on the road. Let’s push for higher safety standards and accountability—because every child deserves the best protection. ?? ???? Secure Our Children: Preventing Gun-Related Incidents in Vehicles! ???? Gun safety is paramount, especially when it comes to protecting our children from preventable tragedies. Kids and Car Safety (KACS) is committed to raising awareness about the dangers of leaving children alone in vehicles with loaded guns and advocating for measures to keep our little ones safe. ?? Understanding the Risks ?? Leaving a loaded gun unattended in a vehicle is a recipe for disaster. Children are naturally curious, and an unsupervised moment in a car with access to a firearm can have devastating consequences. Accidental shootings involving children and unsecured firearms in vehicles are far too common and entirely preventable. We must recognize the gravity of this issue and take proactive steps to ensure that firearms are stored safely and responsibly, especially in environments where children may be present. ?? Empowering Families Through Education ?? Education is key to preventing gun-related incidents in vehicles. KACS provides resources and information to help parents and caregivers understand the importance of safely storing firearms and the potential dangers of leaving them unsecured in vehicles. From secure gun storage solutions to tips on talking to children about gun safety, we offer guidance to help families make informed decisions and protect their loved ones from harm. ?? How You Can Help ?? Your support enables us to continue our vital work in raising awareness about gun safety issues and advocating for policies that prioritize the protection of children. By donating to KACS, you're helping us amplify our message and reach more families with life-saving information. Together, we can ensure that every child is safe from the dangers of unsecured firearms in vehicles. Please donate to help us help children! #GunSafety #ProtectOurChildren #DonateToday ????
