The boys loved all the special effects at the venue (fire cannons for player announcements), getting to see the legendary Anthony Edwards play right in front of them, and even the novelty of walking the Minneapolis skyways at night with great views of all the lit up skyscrapers. The Thank You for this week's Volunteers of the Week is LONG overdue but we can't thank our Funfest Committee enough for all the work they did to help us raise money for Kids 'n Kinship! This committee weathered strong winds (twice), helped us with a completely new fundraising concept at a brand new location, and really did put the FUN in Funfest. We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you and the experience and energy you bring to our program. Thanks for ALL you do!

We just added Rosemount Elementary School to our school-based program and this is our first official match. We can't wait to see what a difference having an amazing mentor like Tom will make for this mentee.

Our wonderful volunteer Michelle returns for her second mentor connection. This pair has a few bucket list items they're going to tackle right away: going to Olive Garden (mentee's favorite) so they can share a meal and learn more about each other (mentee's idea). We can't wait to hear about the adventures these two will have together!
