Applications for the Full Service Schools request for proposals (RFP) for behavioral and mental health services are now open. This initiative is seeking mental-health providers for Duval County Public Schools. Each provider will have to stay for at least one school year and could be eligible to renew for an additional three years. Full Service Schools connects nearly 3,500 students and families to therapeutic, health and social services. Proposals will be accepted through March 14th at 5:00pm. ICYMI: The 38th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. breakfast featured Tomorrow’s Leaders: three students?(1 elementary, 1 middle, and 1 high school) recognized for their take on an exceptional from Dr. King’s speech, Where Do We Go From Here. They created an essay, visual arts, and a poem about “We must walk on in the days ahead with an AUDACIOUS faith in the future. Mayor Donna Deegan?spoke about Dr. King’s impact and the current works throughout our city. This competition invites 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to identify specific problems in their communities and propose a solution.
