? ?New Season = New Sensory Bins These hands-on, interactive tools provide a fun, therapeutic way to enhance sensory processing, improve fine motor skills, and support cognitive development. But most importantly, they bring joy and calm to children who thrive on structured sensory input. Creating sensory bins can be as straightforward or elaborate as you like. What matters most is tailoring them to what sparks joy and curiosity in the child. ?? Pro tip: Introduce themed bins based on seasons, holidays, or topics your child loves. This keeps their interest fresh and promotes learning through play. Have you tried sensory bins with your kids or students? Share your experiences and favorite materials below! #AutismAwareness #SensoryPlay #ChildDevelopment #ABA #KidsFirst

?? We had a fantastic time attending the Family Resource Fair in Bryan County! This event brought together numerous service providers from the community, creating a valuable opportunity for parents to explore various resources for their children. It was inspiring to see so many families and professionals come together to share insights, support, and build connections that benefit the well-being of kids in our area. We're proud to be part of a community dedicated to ensuring that families have access to the best care and services available. ?? Unlocking Learning Through Play with our Sensory Bin! ?? At Kids First, we believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and accessible for all children. Our ABA sensory bin is just one of the many ways we help kids explore their world through hands-on activities. ?? Why sensory play? Sensory activities stimulate the brain, promote self-regulation, and support important skills like communication, motor skills, and emotional development. Best of all, you can recreate these fun activities right at home! ?? Here are some simple ideas to try with your child: ?? DIY Sensory Bins: Fill a bin with rice, beans, or pasta—add small toys, scoops, and cups for endless exploration! ?? Bubble Play: Create bubbles using dish soap and water. Use straws, wands, or even your hands to pop and catch them! ??♂? Obstacle Courses: Set up pillows, chairs, and blankets in a fun course for your child to navigate. Great for motor skills and problem-solving! ?? Playdough Creations: Make homemade playdough and encourage your child to shape letters, animals, or whatever sparks their imagination. ??♀? Calming Bottle: Fill a bottle with water, glitter, and a bit of glue—perfect for teaching mindfulness and helping kids self-regulate. At Kids First, we love seeing families embrace activities that promote learning, curiosity, and bonding time at home. If you're looking for more ideas or need guidance on activities for your child, our team is always here to help! ?? Let’s grow together—one playful moment at a time. #ABA #KidsFirstServices #SensoryPlay #ChildDevelopment #FamilyActivities #LearningThroughPlay #AutismAwareness

???? Spooky season is here! ???? Halloween can be fun and exciting, but it’s important to ensure it’s inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. I came across these ABA-friendly Halloween tips from Links ABA Therapy and had to share! ?? Here are a few things to keep in mind to create a sensory-friendly, stress-free celebration: ?? Offer non-costume alternatives (fun hats, stickers, or themed PJs) ?? Provide non-food treats (like bubbles, fidget toys, or glow sticks) ?? Practice trick-or-treating routines ahead of time to build familiarity ?? Respect boundaries– children may not be comfortable saying “trick or treat” ?? Create safe spaces if children need breaks from all the excitement Inclusive holidays mean happy memories for everyone! ?? Let’s make this spooky season a little brighter for all kids ??? #ABA #InclusionMatters #HalloweenTips #KidsFirst
