The Child Justice Forum (CJF) has today, 8th October, launched the commemoration of the 2024 Child Justice Week under the theme, “Zambia at 60: Advancing Child Justice and Safeguarding Children’s Rights in an Evolving World.” Kids Alive Zambia exhibited at the launch and interacted with other stakeholders sharing how we have promoted Care and Justice for children while ensuring that we provide ‘Justice that Heals, and Bonds that mend.’ Kids Alive Zambia supports child victims of all forms of abuse, Circumstantial Children, Children who are victims of Human Trafficking (Local and International) and children that are neglected by those entrusted with the responsibility to provide care for them. #childsafeguarding #childjusticeweek2024 #zambia@60advancingchildjustice #enhancedaccesstojusticeforchildren

Smiles and laugher in celebration of our hard-working teachers at Kids Alive Academy! Last Friday, we joined the rest of the world in celebrating our Kids Alive Teachers that provide ‘Education that heals’ to hundreds of children. The celebrations were held under the theme: “Valuing Teacher Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education”. Our Kids Alive Academy staff put down the chalk and matched the streets with enthusiasm, sharing their charisma with the community as proud teachers. FAMILIES FIRST! The bible is clear that Gods design for children is that they live in loving and nurturing families. Research has also demonstrated that the love, individual care and sense of belonging that comes from living in a family cannot be replicated by the efforts of even the best child care facility Kids Alive is alive to these realities and even though we remain committed to providing comprehensive protective care at our facilities, we find greater satisfaction in the number of children reintegrated into loving and stable homes. We are therefore proud that since the beginning of 2023 we have been able to reintegrate 32 children. The processes are sometimes long and complex but our team of social workers and therapists remain committed to ensuring suitable families biological or otherwise are found and where necessary, support continues in the context of the family #BondsThatMend #Reintegration

Kids Alive Academy scooped first place in a Sub-Zonal Interschool Grade 7 Quiz that was organized by the local schools as a strategy to boost learner performance! The quiz took place on Monday 24th June 2024 at Village of Hope Community School in Mongu. Participating schools were Gamitho E-Rock Academy, Kids Alive Academy, Village of Hope Trust School, and Katongo Primary School.
