Founded in 1916, Kids Alive International is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of vulnerable children and families. We believe that every child deserves a chance to live a life free from fear and trauma. Through our comprehensive programs and resources, we seek justice and healing from trauma such as child abuse, neglect, and sexual violence. Our work transforms communities through a holistic approach that melds evidence-based practices with biblical principles. What we do: At Kids Alive International, we’re driven by the belief that every child, no matter their challenges, is cherished by God. Yet, far too many are unseen, unheard, and at risk. Inspired by Isaiah 1:17, we’re committed to championing these children. We seek justice, empower them for a brighter future, and work for positive change in their communities. With love and healing for every child we serve. We aim to create lasting change, tackling even the most challenging situations. How we do it: Kids Alive works alongside local communities and national leadership to identify challenges and critical issues within a country that hinder children’s well-being, such as safety concerns and trauma prevention and intervention. We work with designated facilitators to offer comprehensive programs including restorative education, protective care, family strengthening, and justice advocacy. #PraiseWeek: Kenya’s Hope Centers 1?? Karundas Hope Center: In June 2024, we launched our first Mentorship Program, now serving 60 children every Saturday. With devotions, group activities, and meals, it’s transforming lives spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Guardians report incredible behavioral changes—glory to God! 2?? Nairobi Hope Center: Partnering with local churches, we’ve connected 100+ children with Sunday school and VBS programs. Trauma-informed training for 75+ teachers has impacted 2,000+ students, and mentorship for 60+ teens is building confidence. #KidsAlive #KenyaHope #TransformingLives

#PraiseWeek: Progress in Peru 1?? Fun Vacations at Oasis: Over 60 children and teens participated in enriching workshops and heard the Gospel message. Families also connected with our services, supported by dedicated volunteers who served their community with joy. 2?? "Playing We Grow Stronger": This impactful program expanded to reach more teens, equipping them to face challenges and prevent abuse. Schools are eager to partner with us and train teachers to replicate the workshop. 3?? Community Justice in Pucallpa: In San José, we hosted workshops and fairs empowering leaders to combat violence and connect residents with vital services. 4?? Entrepreneurial Success: Baking workshop participants sold over 320 kilos of turrones, and sewing workshop participants are preparing for Christmas sales.
