In the meantime, here’s a peek inside: Sometimes it feels like finding a good deal is like searching for a needle in a haystack, but instead of a needle, it’s a unicorn, and instead of a haystack, it’s a digital jungle? ???? Well, that’s been every day recently. Surrounded by a fortress of monitors, sipping coffee like it’s water, and sifting through deal after deal. Sticky notes multiplying faster than rabbits, and spreadsheets that would make an accountant cry. ???? One minute, it looks like we’ve struck gold. The next, realizing it’s fool’s gold. Even though we’ve started the search for Number Two, we’ve spent a lot of time over the past month getting the word out about what we’re doing. Print, radio, digital, and TV—you name it, we’ve probably been there! Small towns need the support of the surrounding area and we’re excited to get the news out about Kid At Heart and bring family friendly options to them!

The results are in! Our first month is showing some promising signs! - Average guests per hour was 33% higher than expected - Transaction mix was in line with expectations - Expenses were in line with expectations - EBITDA was 198% higher than expected It’s early and we certainly can’t base future expectations on a small sample size, but with real-time data visibility, we’re able to make decisions quickly and make sure we get the business headed in the right direction! The hunt for Number Two is underway! Having learned a few lessons with Number One, getting eyes on potential locations is key. We’re looking for properties that are: - located on a well-traveled street (ideally Main Street, or the city’s equivalent); both vehicle and foot traffic is ideal - memorable in design; special preference for historical significance or unique architectural designs - able to be rehabbed in a fiscally responsible way; this can be accomplished via local incentives, creative financing or general building condition - located in a city with a population of at least 5,000 (exceptions may be made for unique situations) - located within close proximity to recreational activities (indoor or outdoor) or other tourist activities - located in area with limited or no family-entertainment options If you’re a real estate agent or someone who knows of a potential location that meets some or all of the above, shoot us a message! #acquisition #sundayfunday #weekendwhirlwind #realestate #cre
