Brandon Sanderson and Brotherwise Games just raised FIVE MILLION dollars on Kickstarter in their first 24 hours ??. An incredible achievement but not one that is uncommon on the platform. Many people believe that Kickstarter is only for those who are just starting out but Kickstarter has a range of creators and businesses who value launching new products and ideas on the platform, repeatedly. We have established creators and businesses launching multi-million dollar projects all the time. Heck, Brandon Sanderson whom I mentioned earlier launched an almost 42 million dollar project just a couple of years ago. It’s important that we shift the perception that Kickstarter is only for those just starting out. Kickstarter is a place where your true fans/customers/supporters can financially back your new ideas. In an age where social media platforms are only allowing you to engage with a small fraction of your community, Kickstarter allows you the opportunity to engage all of your true community. So if you’re sitting there with an idea, just know it doesn’t matter where you or your business is in its lifecycle. Kickstarter has a place for you and community of new potential supporters as well ??
