A True Story From Rich: The Birth of meKlips? – The Future of Resumes? In the summer of 2023, I faced one of the toughest moments of my life. After nearly a decade in a job I loved, I was laid off—not because of my performance, but due to the lasting effects of COVID on my then employer, Publishers Clearing House. As a father first, the weight of uncertainty hit hard. I did what anyone would do: I sent out resumes. Hundreds—sometimes even thousands—in a desperate attempt to find my next opportunity. But I quickly realized I wasn’t alone. Each job posting had thousands of applicants, making me feel invisible for the first time in my career. Then, everything changed. That summer, while away with my family on Fire Island, I found myself lost in thought. One day on the beach, I prayed. Out loud. I asked for guidance from God and my #1 angel, my mom. And in an instant, I saw it. I felt it. The vision for meKlips?. I ran back to our beach house, opened my MacBook, and started designing the logo and sketching out the app concept. I knew I had something special. But I also knew I couldn’t do it alone. So I called the most brilliant business person that I know, my sister Laurie Taylor. She immediately saw the potential and didn’t hesitate to come on board as my partner, investing her time and resources to turn this dream into reality. Our first step? Protecting the idea—securing patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Then, we went full force into development. And now, I’m beyond thrilled to introduce meKlips? – The Future of Resumes?, a revolutionary app designed to change the way people apply for jobs. ?? What is meKlips??
