关于我们
Kick4Life F.C. is a charity, social enterprise & football club dedicated to social change. Based at the Kick4Life Centre in Lesotho, we deliver a range of Football for Good programmes which aim to transform the lives of children and young people, covering health, education, gender, employability & climate action. Our football teams are an extension of our social impact model, and we are playing our part to build a more purpose-driven sport, becoming in 2020 the first club in Africa to commit to equal budgets for our women's and men's team. We are also pioneers in the field of sport and social enterprise with our hospitality enterprises, No.7 restaurant and the Hokahanya Inn & Conference Centre, generating income to support the sustainability of our programmes, while also providing structured training and employment opportunities for young people.

This week we were delighted to host David Groves and Lizete Dos Santos from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, as part of our shortlisting for the 2025 Laureus Sport for Good Award. The visit was also a chance to catch up on our two #SESLA projects focused on promoting gender equality and the development of a new social enterprise gymnasium. During the week, we were also pleased to welcome representatives from the International Olympic Committee – IOC International Olympic Committee who are supporting the gym, alongside Agence Fran?aise de Développement. Here's David wearing his new K4L jersey, alongside Puky, Motlatsi and Rose from K4L’s senior management team.

Thank you SIS Pitches!
A year ago, a shipping container left our manufacturing facility in Cumbria for Lesotho in Southern Africa, carrying a 5-a-side football pitch for Kick4Life F.C. Since then, we have been reflecting on the incredible journey and its impact and would love to share it with you all. For those unfamiliar with Kick4Life, this inspiring organisation is much more than a football club. Kick4Life F.C. is a unique charity and social enterprise with a mission to improve the lives of vulnerable young people in Lesotho. Through football, they provide health education, literacy, mentorship, and personal development opportunities. Since 2005, they've reached over 250,000 young people, helping them shape a brighter future. One year later, the pitch became a hub of activity. It has been used extensively by close to a thousand children and young people, hosting games, practices, and community events nearly every single day. Seeing it come to life with so much energy and enthusiasm has been inspiring. This project with Kick4Life is a reminder of what can be achieved through collaboration and a shared commitment to positive change. We look forward to seeing Kick4Life's initiatives positively impact even more lives.

Congratulations to our co-founders Pete Fleming MBE and Steve Fleming MBE who visited Buckingham Palace earlier this week, to receive, from King Charles III, their MBEs for Services to Sport for Social Change in Lesotho. Here's the statement they made in June, when the awards were announced, acknowledging the many people who have played a vital part in Kick4Life's impact over the last two decades: https://lnkd.in/eSUZNy5N
