The Innovus Innovation Center, located in Longwood, Florida, is a 15,000 square foot facility whose goal is to bring alternative learning opportunities to the nearby community. The center currently offers various day camps throughout the week, focusing on STEAM-based curriculums, and provides students with access to technology and equipment outside of the standard classroom setting. HuntonBrady collaborated with the client to transform an old Walgreens building into an innovative hub for students of all ages. The original open floor plan allowed our team to divide the space into multiple instructional programs. The adaptive reuse now includes common areas, wet lab, studio space, think tank, VR/AR room, mechatronics and fabrication lab, ghost kitchen, and collaboration areas.
