I’m thrilled to share that my team and I won 2nd place at the Healthcare and Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition sponsored by Innovate Carolina, where I showcased my research and further developed it with my team into a malaria diagnostic device—a solution designed to make early detection accessible and impactful in underserved regions. Competing alongside talented teams and receiving feedback from industry leaders like Michael Levy (Digital Health Institute for Transformation), Victoria Fritz, MD (Mountain Crest Investment Partners), and Jaap Schut (4E Innovation Consulting) was invaluable. This experience has strengthened my commitment to advancing healthcare equity, and I’m excited to continue working to make this vision a reality!!
