Legacy Feed delivers within 70 miles of Millville, Indiana in Henry County and has brought 25 full-time jobs to east central Indiana and continues to look to grow the team as more pig spaces are fed out through the business. Tom Jr. started working at the cooperative 28 years ago, then his son followed in his footsteps. Our SEED (Securing Experience & Employee Development) Development Professionals are acting as Keystone’s best advocates this fall as they speak in front of vocational agriculture classes and FFA Chapters about their experience in the SEED program. Eliza Uliczny shared her SEED experience with students at Shenandoah School Corporation (Henry County, Indiana) this week. SEED is a boots-on-the-ground developmental experience for graduating High School seniors. These full-time positions include pay and benefits, and a 2-year full-circle view of each of Keystone's diversified businesses. Our first group of professionals will complete their agronomy rotation next week and then move to the grain division for four months. One of the most valuable responsibilities our farmer board assumes is attending annual Board Tours, where directors travel to each of our locations - agronomy, energy, grain and swine & animal nutrition all included – and evaluates the facility conditions, reviews assets, visits with the operations teams and listens to their needs and goals for that specific site. The 2024 board tours recently wrapped up and the event in its entirety consisted of 14 days and 4,355 miles traveled to each of our 245 locations.
