Good news for the Tech Sector
Good news in the Tech Sector! I believe hiring volume will follow investor activity. Great news for both recruiters (like myself) and talented people who have wound up on the wrong end of the layoffs over the last 12-18 months. "It's official: the tech sector is fully out of its post-pandemic slump, at least if you ask investors. The tech-heavy Nasdaq closed at a fresh high on Friday after its record-breaking close Thursday, boosted by bets on chipmakers and the growth of artificial intelligence. The broader S&P 500 index also closed at new record, with January and February gains reflecting its strongest start to a year since since 2019. Since the start of the year, the Nasdaq has climbed over 7%, following a 43% jump in 2023."
