Kern County Public Health

The Tobacco Prevention program is the backbone support of the Students Working Against Tobacco youth coalition and the Tobacco Free Coalition of Kern County. They provide trainings to help equip coalition members with the right tools to feel confident during community events where they give health education and share resources on tobacco prevention. Here's what one student had to say, “My favorite parts of serving on the coalition include attending events and being with welcoming people. I felt like the best part of swat was the environment created by everyone. They always made it fun and enjoyable.”

We are so grateful to have these opportunities to share our resources and skills with the public. Our EMS team came out to Kern County's Touch-A-Truck event last Saturday morning and yesterday, our POP, Lead, and Dental programs were at the Lamont Harvest Festival. What a great time we had!
