Great opportunity with Burtch Construction !
We are looking for skilled and reliable Construction Workers with a strong background in paving operations. The ideal candidates will have experience in asphalt and concrete paving, a solid understanding of construction principles, and a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities: Asphalt Paving: Operate asphalt paving machines (Screed Operators) Rake, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces using rollers and compactors. Perform asphalt repairs with saw cutting machines. Assist with asphalt milling operations. Concrete Paving: Set and strip forms for concrete paving projects. Pour, finish, and cure concrete for sidewalks, curbs, and other paved surfaces. Install and finish concrete pavers. Site Preparation: Prepare sub-grade for paving projects. Assist with grading and leveling operations. Perform general site cleanup and maintenance. Equipment Operation: Operate various paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, compactors, and skid steers. Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections. Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Perform traffic control as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 years of experience in asphalt and/or concrete paving. Proven ability to operate paving equipment. Knowledge of paving materials and techniques. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.? Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions. ? Preferred Qualifications: OSHA certifications. Experience with specific paving equipment or software.
