Kering proudly supports the elevation of Latin American fashion and design through its participation in this year's Latin American Fashion Summit (LAFS). ? LAFS is a global, female-founded platform for Latin American fashion and design. Every November, the summit draws its community to the Miami Design District for an engaging weekend of workshops, in-store events, networking sessions, and discussions with industry leaders, with the mission of amplifying and enriching the Latin American fashion and design industries. ? In a session titled "Luxury, Leadership and Legacy," Ewa M. Abrams, President of Kering Americas, sat down with Eva Hughes, EVP of Istituto Marangoni Miami and former CEO of Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America, to share her insights on empowering women, fostering an inclusive culture, and the impact of leading with purpose: ? "What we do is not as vital as how and why, and creating a robust company culture is what drives me. Ultimately, we want to build a company that reflects the world we live in and empowers everyone to reach their full potential." ? Last week, Kering announced the launch of the Kering Generation Award in Saudi Arabia, joining forces with the Saudi Fashion Commission. Inspired by Kering’s vision of Crafting Tomorrow’s Luxury, the award program aims to foster sustainable innovation within the luxury sector, identifying promising change-making start-ups and technologies in Saudi Arabia that have the potential to drive meaningful change. The program which elevates sustainable fashion initiatives, is committed to supporting visionary fashion initiatives that shape a responsible future. Kering announces the appointment of Cedric Charbit as CEO of Saint Laurent and Gianfranco Gianangeli as CEO of BALENCIAGA, effective January 2, 2025. Both will report to Francesca Bellettini, Kering Deputy CEO in charge of Brand Development, who from then on will be entirely dedicated to the development of all Kering Fashion, Leather Goods and Jewelry Houses. Cédric’s mission as the new CEO of Saint Laurent succeeding Francesca Bellettini will be to leverage his expertise and leadership to further develop the iconic Parisian House, building on its unique positioning, heritage, and identity.?For his part, Gianfranco Gianangeli who will now be succeeding Cédric Charbit at the helm of Balenciaga, will continue to strengthen and expand the House’s reach and renown.
