It’s the last week of Keolis Downer’s stewardship of Melbourne’s tram network – the one that started it all for us in Australia. The Yarra Trams and Keolis Downer team have worked incredibly hard over the past 15 years to provide an exceptional passenger experience, whether that’s through improving our customer service, delivering infrastructure upgrades like more level access stops and separation kerbing, and improving our representation of female drivers to 31% of our driver workforce, up from 9% when we took over the franchise in 2009. We’re incredibly proud of our team who have worked tirelessly over 15 years to deliver these improvements, along with more than 5,000 daily services to connect Melburnians to work, essential services, major events, and each other. Thank you for the journey, Melbourne. #YarraTrams #KeolisDowner #Melbourne #15years #legacy Carla Purcell Julien Dehornoy Keolis Group Downer

?? It was fantastic to catch up with the rail industry and many friends at this year’s #AusRAIL2024 event in Gold Coast. ?? Keolis Group International CEO Laurence BROSETA shared Keolis SNCF’s role during the Paris Olympics, where 100% of the event venues were accessible by public transport. SNCF carried more than 13.5 million spectators during the event and customer satisfaction was 98%, a real tribute to the reliability and performance of the transport services. ? It was also great to hear Phil Mumford, CEO of GoldlinQ who shared insights on G:link and the Stage 3 extension: first passengers will be able to travel the route by mid-2026. G:link, proudly operated by Keolis Downer, celebrated 10 years of operations this year and the performance is exceptional: 99% service reliability on average over 10 years, 15.8 million km travelled, and 85 million paid passenger trips since the launch. ?? We ended the event on a high: the yellow dinner was a tribute to Danny Broad as he stepped down as Chair of the ARA and handed over to Lucio Di Bartolomeo. Thank you Danny for your valuable contribution to the rail industry across Australia and New Zealand. You will be greatly missed! ?? And big thanks to the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) for organising another amazing AusRAIL event! We are looking forward to AusRAIL Plus in Melbourne in 2025! Today we’re celebrating Adelaide’s Passenger Service Assistants (PSA), who 30 years ago, took to the Adelaide Metropolitan Passenger Rail Network (AMPRN) for the very first time. ? Initially introduced on the network for revenue protection, with prescribed officer and safe working qualifications implemented shortly after, the PSA position has continued to evolve over time and remain a crucial element in Adelaide’s public transport provision to an ever-changing and growing community. ? A testament to this evolution is the amount of training undertaken by this working group to ensure they can continue providing support and customer service to passengers from all walks of life, including their most recent certifications in Human Guide, Hidden Disability, and Communication Access Training. ? To all of Adelaide’s Passenger Service Assistants, current and past, we thank you for your service and dedication to our passengers, and the broader community. #PublicTransport #Adelaide #CustomerService #Accessibility #Community

Our Bus COO Jay Zmijewski participated in a panel discussion this week on future contracts at the Bus Industry Confederation annual conference in Hobart. It was a great opportunity to share thoughts on bus contracts in Australia and how these can be adapted to better address the current context our industry is facing with the energy transition, recruitment and skills shortages and changing demand travel patterns. Thank you to the panelists and event organisers for a constructive discussion and successful event! #publictransport #contractmanagement #busoperations Roz Chivers

At Keolis Downer, we’re committed to leading the way in innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all our operations. That's why we're excited to announce our latest partnership with Yarra Trams and RMIT University on an iMOVE Australia project aimed at exploring the potential of using aluminium oxide as a replacement for sand on Melbourne's tram network. This innovative approach successfully used in a trial in Germany offers a more efficient, sustainable solution for our network. Currently, sand is used to increase friction and improve a tram's grip on tracks during braking and acceleration. By investigating aluminium oxide, we're working with leading Victorian researchers to identify solutions that not only support operational performance but also enhance environmental outcomes. We're excited about the potential impact this could have on the tram network and the role it plays in Melbourne's sustainable future. #Innovation #Sustainability #YarraTrams #iMOVEAustralia #PublicTransport.

???? At Keolis Downer, we are proud to be part of the global Keolis Group, majority-owned by Groupe SNCF, France's national railway company. SNCF has been a trailblazer in rail operations since 1938, operating an impressive 2,800 km high-speed rail network, alongside commuter and regional rail services. ?? This week, our Chief Commercial Officer, Beno?t VO-DINH, had the opportunity to present at the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) High Speed Rail Conference in Sydney. Benoit shared valuable insights into the high-speed rail operations, and what that means in the Australian context, looking at segregated networks vs multimodal networks, multi-operator environments and the opportunity to create value in regional areas though the rejuvenation of stations and places. ?? It’s inspiring to imagine a future with high speed rail and how this could shape the future of transport in Australia! #HighSpeedRail #Sustainability #Innovation #KeolisDowner #PublicTransport
