Last week the Kentucky Distillers' Association successfully hosted our 144th Annual Meeting in Louisville, KY. We were honored to have special guests Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg and Lady Veterans Connect join us for our State Dinner. This year, we celebrated numerous new members, incredible industry accomplishments, and the passing of the gavel from our outgoing board chair, Heaven Hill Brands’ Jessica Pendergrass, to our 2025 board chair, New Riff Distilling’s Ken Lewis. The Annual Meeting was packed full of industry updates ranging from research and innovation to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail?. Member News: Angel's Envy has announced its 13th annual release of Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Since 2011, the distillery has released an annual Cask Strength Bourbon, made from a hand-selected barrel with an extended aging process. This year’s edition introduces a Tawny Port Wine finish blended with a Ruby Port Wine finish, toting notes of brown sugar, butterscotch and spice. Member News: Vendome Copper & Brass Works Inc. has opened the doors to a new 50,000-sqaure-foot Louisville facility. For 120+ years, Vendome Copper & Brass Works, Inc. has been known for their superior stainless-steel tank fabrication and their support of distilleries throughout the state. The new facility is equipped to produce large-scale and small-scale stainless-steel vessels with advanced manufacturing technology, and a new office space. Elijah Craig has officially kicked off their 5th annual Old Fashioned Week! Elijah Craig invites Bourbon enthusiasts to enjoy the iconic cocktail at participating bars and restaurants throughout the country to support the Southern Smoke Foundation— an organization that supports food and beverage workers with emergency relief and mental health services. Since 2020, Elijah Craig’s Old Fashioned Week has raised more than $400,000, supporting organizations dedicated to supporting the hospitality industry. For every Old Fashioned that is purchased at participating bars and restaurants, $1 per drink will be donated to the Southern Smoke Foundation.
