Research Intern at The Brookings Institution | Former Communications & Resource Development Intern at FHI 360 | Senior Communication Studies and International Relations Student at Kent State University
Yesterday, January 21, marked my first day in my new role as Research Intern at The Brookings Institution, a nonprofit public policy organization/think tank with the mission to conduct in-depth research to improve policy/governance and lead to new ideas for solving problems that face society at local, national, and global levels. This semester, I will be interning to support The Family, School and Community Engagement (FSCE) initiative of the Center for Universal Education in the Global Economy and Development program at Brookings and look forward to a meaningful professional learning experience. Getting an internship is no easy feat, and so I would like to take a moment to highlight several individuals who have given me strong support as I continue my career development: ? Kristin Tripi, M.A., my career advisor at Kent State University Career Exploration and Development ? Pakiza Shirinova, my good friend and former intern at Kent State University Career Exploration and Development ? Jessica Baker, my former internship supervisor and mentor at FHI 360 ?
