“I realized there was a lot of work to do in bringing health equity for unhoused people.” From the moment Naheed Dosani met Terry, a young man, dealing with mental health issues and cancer while experiencing homelessness, he immediately knew what his purpose was as a healthcare provider. As Medical Director of Hospice at Kensington Health and founder of Palliative Education and Care for the Homeless (PEACH), Dr. Dosani makes it his mission every day to ensure everyone, despite their living situation, receives palliative care that is person-centered, community-focused, and recognizes the social determinants of health. Winter can be tough, but you don’t have to face it alone. ?? The colder months can take a toll on mental health, with shorter days and less sunlight impacting our mood and energy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just not yourself, know that support is available. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential mental health resources to help you navigate challenges and prioritize your well-being. ?? one.telushealth.com We know that caregivers and health care providers need support, too – because taking care of yourself helps you care for others.
