Had a blast seeing so many familiar faces from Fairville Friends School at KACS! They came to learn more about all the life-sustaining programs KACS offers to help our neighbors in need and how they can offer support. With friends like these, we’re building stronger communities together! #JoinCommunityStrong #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #FairvilleFriends

Pennsylvania lawmakers and advocates discussed the proposed Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit (H.B. 820), which would provide eligible low- and middle-income families with a refundable state tax credit equal to 30% of their federal Earned Income Tax Credit, helping with essential expenses like childcare, food, and transportation. Leah Reynolds, CEO of Kennett Area Community Service (KACS), testified at the hearing, emphasizing the tax credit’s vital importance to our community. “This would have a real and lasting impact on families right here in Chester County and across the state of Pennsylvania by putting resources back in the hands of lower-income working families,” she said. Thank you Rep. Christina Sappey for sponsoring this vital bill and Chester County Press for sharing. https://lnkd.in/eCEXNrCx
