KEMAH POLICE DEPARTMENT

On 03/22/25 at approximately 2:00am, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Bradford and 6th Street on this subject, Jessica Reeves, 31 yoa. After Reeves refused to identify herself, she resisted arrest while being taken into custody. She was charged with Resisting Arrest, $2500 bond.

On 3/21/25 at approximately 11:55pm, this subject Joseph Rashbaum, 34 yoa, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 3000 block of SH 146. Rashbaum was arrested after cocaine was discovered in his vehicle. He was charged with Possession of a Control Substance PG1 <1G state Jail felony Bond $2000.

This morning we had a wonderful visit from 9 year old Julian Galloway from Corpus Christi, Texas. Julian is an Honorary Corpus Christi Police Officer who is battling terminal cancer. We showered him with love and welcomed him to our Kemah PD. He was also gifted an airplane ride over our Kemah community by our own Councilman Justin Staton. We enjoy going above and beyond the call of duty to bring happiness to special kiddos like Julian. Today was a special day. Our Chief Garivey received a call from the nephew of Sanjuana Macias Cruz of Pasadena, Texas, a strong and inspiring woman battling terminal cancer. Doctors giving her only a few days to live. Sanjuana has always loved the City of Kemah, especially the Kemah Boardwalk. Her lifelong dream was to be a police officer, and we had the honor of making that dream a reality—if only for a day. Chief and Chaplain Mata paid her a visit, shared stories, and spent time with her as she beamed with pride. Chief presented Sanjuana with a certficate appointing her as an Honoarary Chief of Police for the day. It was a privilege to stand beside her and pray with her and her family. Please keep San Juanita and her family in your thoughts and prayers. ??
