So incredible to see the power of women coming together at the Kellogg Global Women's Summit! Here's to building life long connections!
What an amazing two days at the Kellogg Global Women’s Summit! Bringing together more than 600 women in the Global Hub was a truly profound experience. This community arrived with an openness to learn and engage, took in valuable insights from our incredible, accomplished speakers, and created lasting connections with friends old and new. As we discussed throughout the Summit, a strong female network is a powerful and important tool for any woman looking for personal and professional growth – and I am so proud of the network we created and cultivated at the Summit. ? Thank you to everyone who traveled from near and far to join us, to our speakers who provided such thoughtful experiences and teachings, and to everyone at Kellogg who worked for over a year to make this event such a success.?And finally, thank you to Ann Drake, whose generous support?made these two days possible!

For one of the final events of this year, the WBA joined forces with the Kellogg Games Club to host a Poker and Leadership Night with Poker Power! Founded in 2020, Poker Power is a pioneering, woman-led company dedicated to inspiring confidence and promoting risk-taking through the strategic game of poker. Poker Power brings game changing skills to hundreds of organizations and has introduced tens of thousands of girls and women to the empowering world of poker. Our Kellogg women+ enjoyed an engaging evening where they learned how to play poker and also honed key leadership skills, including: ? Reading People - Mastering the ability to pick up on subtle cues for valuable insights ? Assessing Risks - Evaluating the potential rewards of every risk ? Discipline - Understanding when to act and when to hold back ? Confidence - Developing the ability to think independently and trust your hand We extend a big thank you to the fantastic Poker Power instructors that guided us through this session and to everyone who contributed to making this event a success!
A few weeks ago Professor Maryam Kouchaki joined the WBA to lead an insightful session on high performing teams. Students were instructed to put together clues to solve a murder mystery with their team. Key Takeaways: ?? Norms for group processes emerge, planned or unplanned? ?? We often jump into problem solving without having?plan on how to work together - to overcome this, be proactive in shaping your team’s processes rather than accepting them ?? Strengthen the link between knowledge and action by personal reflection, deliberation, and practice Professor Kouchaki is a Kellogg Professor of Management and Organizations and an organizational psychologist who seeks to make theoretical and practical contributions at the intersection of management and psychology. Her research focuses on decision-making, diversity, and ethics. Thank you Professor Kouchaki for joining the WBA and sharing your insights!?

"Results again revealed that male students underestimated how much women appreciated the simple act of signing an allyship pledge, and revealed a primary reason why: They erroneously assumed female students would perceive them as more inauthentic than was actually the case." Check out this fantastic article on productive allyship from a favorite Kellogg Professor of Management & Organizations - Adam Waytz!
