Kelley Global Sales Workshop

The Global Sales Workshop had an incredible experience visiting Gallagher, Belden Inc., IGS Energy, Nucor Corporation, Boston Scientific, and Grainger on our annual Chicago trip! Each corporate partner visit was an enriching learning experience where members had exclusive opportunities to network with employees and learn?about their companies. From engaging activities and behind-the-scenes tours, we gained valuable insights into how our corporate partners prioritize innovation, social responsibility, and culture in every aspect of their business. Thank you to our wonderful corporate partners for making our trip to Chicago an unforgettable experience!

Congratulations to the Procter & Gamble Sales Competition winners! ? ? This case involved understanding the demands in the haircare market, and the strategic decisions that drive category growth. Students used SPIN selling techniques to sell new products to a retailer, leveraging consumer preferences to drive growth margin.? ? Special thanks to our corporate partners who participated in the competition –Procter & Gamble for providing the case, buyers, and judges; and Altria, Boston Scientific, Bunzl Distribution NA, C.H. Robinson, Grainger and Nucor Corporation for judging the competition and giving valuable feedback to our students.

Hello NYC based Hoosiers! Our very own Harris Bell has created an NYC alumni community outlet. Especially given the recent football success of our Hoosiers and upcoming basketball season, these outlets will provide a connection to NYC alumni for gatherings! The Global Sales Workshop is excited to announce our Fall 2024 New Member Class! This year, we received a record number of applications resulting in a 12.7% acceptance rate. The new members underwent a rigorous recruitment process, which included an application, a behavioral interview, and a five-minute speech about their passion. The 14 new members will begin their development journey led by Conner Mathis, focusing on professional growth within the workshop. Congratulations to these talented individuals! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish!

Congratulations to the winners of the Altria and Nucor Sales Competition! This case involved understanding the importance of consumer insights and expanding product offerings to store owners. Students leveraged SPIN selling techniques to implement a new product into stores. Thank you to Altria and Nucor for acting as judges and buyers for our workshop members. We received great feedback that will help refine our sales skills.

Last Friday, the Kelley Global Sales Workshop visited Fischer Homes to explore career paths and learn more about their home-building sales process. We toured their headquarters, a model home, and the Cincinnati Bengals Stadium. At the stadium, we also heard from the Bengals’ sales team about their ticket sales process. We extend our gratitude to Steve Whaley, Amanda (Pittman) Dahm, and the rest of the Fischer Homes team for hosting such an eventful and informative trip. Go Hoosiers!
