As we kick off the Trash Free Brazos campaign in partnership with the Gulf Trust, we are holding a river cleanup and water testing in partnership with the City of Waco, TX and Center for Reservoir and Aquatic Systems Research. Followed by a FREE family-friendly WaterFEST event, hosting activities for all ages with environmental STEAM activities. Keep Waco Beautiful is thrilled to announce the launch of the Green Schools Program in collaboration with The National Women In Agriculture, Rapoport Academy, and Waco Downtown Farmer's Market. As we are passionate about educating and empowering our youth to become the environmental leaders of tomorrow, we are creating a beautiful pipeline of outdoor education at The Garrison Community Garden. This spring, the Raven's Green Team will establish their own garden bed, learn the basics of starting a garden, composting, maintenance, and harvesting. With the hopes of offering an opportunity for these students to sell what they grow at the Waco Downtown Farmer's Market at Bridge Street, we are excited to see education around entrepreneurship.
