The development of novel sustainable materials is increasingly important for the decarbonization of the chemicals and materials industries. The recent work (https://lnkd.in/gdwgASer) on accelerated materials discovery using AI by Google DeepMind and University of California, Berkeley has once again demonstrated the power of combining AI, physics, and automation to identify candidates for new materials.? ? A similar approach was at the core of Kebotix, as we spun out from Harvard in 2017. At that time, the group led by co-founder Alán Aspuru-Guzik, in collaboration with Samsung, used neural network and DFT simulations to screen millions of potential OLED materials (https://lnkd.in/egkzpAYS). The industrial partner synthesized only the best candidates, demonstrating the power of AI.? ? Over the years, we have assisted numerous companies in discovering new materials across diverse domains, with several on the way to commercialization.? ? The integration of AI, physics, and automation significantly reduces the initial R&D phase of discovery. However, this is only the first step. To successfully commercialize a material that can benefit humanity, aspects such as market analysis, large-scale production design, supply chain, and distribution also need to be accelerated. Today, we offer solutions to these challenges, enabling our customers to benefit from comprehensive solutions that facilitate faster commercialization than ever before. #Digitalchemsitry #Selfdrivinglab #AI #materialsscience
