Throughout February, KCTCS colleges hosted a variety of events honoring the history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans. While there were many impactful programs across the system, here are just a few highlights: ?? Madisonville Community College held its 31st Annual Voices program, featuring an incredible performance by Marshae Hopson and a powerful Kentucky Humanities Council Chautauqua presentation of John G. Fee: Abolitionist, portrayed by Obadiah Ewing-Roush. ?? West Kentucky Community and Technical College organized a dynamic lineup of events, culminating in a special "Bridging to the Future" week from February 24-28, focused on history, achievements, and community connections. ?? Owensboro Community and Technical College partnered with the Owensboro Community Remembrance Project and NAACP Branch 3107 to host a Black History Month Film Festival, including a special screening and filmmaker discussion on February 18. These are just a few of the many ways our colleges honored Black History Month. Thank you to everyone who made these events possible and to all who participated. Let’s continue to celebrate, learn, and uplift voices—not just in February, but all year long! #BlackHistoryMonth #KCTCS #HonoringHistory #CelebratingCulture
