Last week KCS had the pleasure of attending another wonderful Phoenix Children's Big Dig for Kids, giving Phoenix Children’s patients and their families a day to enjoy the wonder of the construction community through the power of play! This year $1,086,000 was raised, which ended up being a new record! It’s an honor to take part in this annual event and we thank all volunteers for making this event such a success. Work continues at the Joy Cone Co Facility Expansion project here in Flagstaff as the Joy Cone team got to celebrate a major milestone with a beam signing! Masonry scope is wrapped up and the 80,000 SF project is set to be completed towards the beginning of 2025.

Sun Valley is nearing completion on the Joy Cone Facility expansion in Flagstaff! We're adding over 80,000 sq. ft. to the building, featuring six unique styles and colors of block. The 50-foot-tall addition required a detailed bracing plan to ensure precision and stability throughout the build.

Ground has officially broken at the Camp Colton Phase I project! While KCS Civil has been hard at work, Flagstaff Unified School District, the Friends of Camp Colton, and supporters had the opportunity to celebrate earlier this week with an official Groundbreaking Ceremony at camp. FUSD Superintendent Mike Penca, Flagstaff Mayor Becky Daggett, and Executive Director of Friends of Camp Colton Ari Wilder shared inspiring words about the lasting impact this project will have on our youth and the community of Flagstaff for generations to come. KCS had the pleasure of once again participating in United Way of Northern Arizona’s Pacesetter campaign! KCS had a record breaking year, raising $30,788.64 thanks to our wonderful team of employees! A big congratulations to all of the local Pacesetters including Joy Baking Group , Arizona Public Service - APS, Nestlé Purina North America, Lowell Observatory, and Coconino County Arizona.
