Today we shared a fond farewell for Mike Williams after ?34 YEARS? at KCRA. Wow, what a career! As I told our team, Mike really punctuates the “journalist” in “photojournalist.” He asks smart questions and shares great insight that makes us all better. Enjoy retirement Mike!

KCRA 3, the NBC affiliate in Sacramento and a Hearst Television station,?has an opening for a Local News?Photographer and Editor. We are looking for a photojournalist with the ability to capture the essence of what's happening in the field, and then bring it vividly into the homes of our viewers. You will spend several hours each day out in the field shooting, editing, and executing creative live shots. You will also edit for newscasts. You must be up to date on the modern aspects of our medium, have an excellent eye for video. You will work well with other, always positively representing us with the highest journalistic standards and professionalism on display. You will work with and report to the News Operations Manager. The 2024 Gracies! What a fabulous event to celebrate the leadership and creativity of so many talented women in media. It was wonderful to be surrounded by our Hearst colleagues including Hearst Television President Michael J. Hayes as KCRA received the only Grand Award granted to a local television station this year for our documentary "Del Paso Heights: Cracking an Epidemic" (watch here: https://t.ly/-BCNr).
